During Your Appointment With Our Dentist
Your first visit is usually a chance for Dr. Blake Winokur and our team to get to know you and understand your oral health needs. This includes taking digital x-rays, a periodontal exam, cleaning and a thorough exam by Dr. Winokur. In most cases, you will begin your appointment with our hygienist or dental assistant who will take x-rays and begin your hygiene exam to check your gum health and determine the right treatment plan for your periodontal needs.
Once you have had your hygiene exam and cleaning, you will meet with Dr. Winokur. At this time, he will examine your teeth and x-rays, checking for any decay, infection or other issues that may need treatment. After the comprehensive exam, Dr. Winokur will discuss your state of oral health and any treatment recommendations. This is also a good time for you to ask about any treatments that interest you, like cosmetic or restorative options.
