SureSmile is a series of custom made aligners that helps straighten teeth without the use of metal braces or arch wires. The custom made SureSmile aligners are molded to your bottom and upper teeth. Each aligner moves your teeth slightly into place over a specified course of time. Clear aligners are a less visible solution to helping dental patients achieve straight teeth.
Who is a good candidate?
Since SureSmile aligners are custom-built, they are best used in adults and teenagers. Invisible aligners aren't recommended for children because their teeth have not fully developed yet! The best candidate for clear aligners is a patient with mild or moderately crowded teeth and with spacing issues that aren't severe. If you have more complex spacing issues with your teeth they may not be for you. Your dentist or orthodontist will be able to help you decide if SureSmile is right for you.
